The Production
Was produced out of the Motion Picture Institute of Michigan where this
year's students film students (2009 Graduates) constructed sets,
auditioned and brought in actors, then set the lighting, shot the film,
and recorded the audio in a real world production environment. The film
was directed by by 2008 MPI Graduate Robert Joseph Butler and the class
was lectured by Detroit Cinematographer Robert Skates.
Synopsis
Daniel Saxon (Tiren Jhames) is an aspiring writer with a life that
mirrors the twisted world he habits: vacant. Abandoned. Burnt-out and
fragile. While struggling to finish both his novel-in-progress and the
unwritten story of his life. As Daniel continues to write, Daniel
begins to struggle against his dormant inner demons - cryptic memories
from his past come to haunt him. Nightmares of his father, and a
deafening heartbeat plague him without remorse, keeping his
relationship with his father remote and detached, and matters are only
complicated when they begin spilling over into reality.
Daniel is forced down a dark journey of
insanity, hatred, writer's block, and murder - and the consequences
that ultimately arise.
