The Production
Shot on location on the shores of Pictured Rocks National
Lakeshore in Munising, Michigan. The Lake-shore hugs the Lake Superior
shoreline for more than 40 miles. Lake Superior is the largest,
deepest, coldest, and most pristine of all the Great Lakes.
This visually stunning character study was shot with 2 vastly different
aesthetics to capture the protagonists internal mind-state. The
exteriors were shot on beautiful hd format with striking images
and colors to show the main character's acceptance to the
environment. It's the world where she connects better with. The
interiors and the flashbacks were shot in Standard Definition, where
the colors are bleached out and desaturated to show the disconnect from
the materialistic world Alexis lives in.
The film premiered at the 2nd Annual Michigan Filmmakers Night in
August 2009 where it moved and engaged audiences from all demographics.
Robert's plans is to submit this film to festivals around the world in
2010.
Synopsis

teenager who's shy, isolated, and keeps to herself. Disconnected from
her family, classmates, and environment, Alexis gravitates to the Upper
Peninsula in Michigan to the monumental Picture Rocks National Park
where she gets in touch with her mind and spirit.
